Are We There Yet? is a triptych that explores the notion of discovering one's identity. This series outlines the progression from childhood to adolescence and finally adulthood, at the same time, highlighting the underlying nuances of growing up. Portraying a shift from individualism to communitarianism, these three images attempt to bring across a sense of hope, comfort and belonging that comes from the discovery of one's own community.
This triptych essentially accentuates the beauty of growing into one's identity. It serves as a visual metaphor for acceptance both of self and in community.
